ChainCatcher 消息，据 Cointelegraph 報導，Coinbase 加拿大公司宣布對加拿大本土穩定幣發行商 Stablecorp 進行戰略投資，具體金額未披露。此次合作旨在擴大 Stablecorp 旗下加元穩定幣 QCAD 的應用場景，該穩定幣採用 1:1 加元儲備支持機制。
Coinbase 加拿大 CEO Lucas Matheson 表示，此舉將幫助解決加拿大傳統支付系統效率低下、費用高昂等問題。目前全球穩定幣市場規模達 2450 億美元，但加拿大監管框架尚未明確將穩定幣歸類為支付工具還是證券，這成為市場發展的主要障礙。
