Zeta Markets: Launches Solana-based Layer2 solution Zeta X (ZX)

ChainCatcher news, the decentralized derivatives trading platform Zeta Markets has released the design overview of its Layer 2 scaling solution Zeta X (ZX).

It is reported that ZX will expand the trading scale of decentralized perpetual contracts by building an optimistic rollup on Solana and utilizing zero-knowledge proofs for trustless on-chain settlement. This rollup will use an off-chain matching engine to achieve performance comparable to centralized exchanges while leveraging the transparency and security of Solana L1 for data availability and settlement. The main features of ZX include high throughput (up to 10,000 TPS), low latency (soft confirmation time of 3-5 ms), seamless trading experience, high capital efficiency (up to 50x leverage), and proof of reserves.

In addition, the choice of Solana as the L1 infrastructure is primarily based on considerations such as its low operating costs, fast block generation times, and the large amount of available funds within the Solana ecosystem.
