ECB President Lagarde Discusses Stablecoin Risks and MiCAR Regulation

ChainCatcher news, according to Jinshi reports, European Central Bank President Lagarde stated that the EU's regulation on crypto assets (MiCAR) aims to address the risks of stablecoins in two ways. First, stablecoin issuers must allow EU investors to redeem their held assets at face value at all times. Second, stablecoin issuers must hold a significant proportion of reserves in bank deposits.
