ChainCatcher news, according to Cryptonews, Japanese mobile game company Gumi plans to spend 2.5 billion yen (approximately 17 million USD) to purchase XRP. The company's board has approved the plan, which is expected to be completed by the end of February next year. Gumi's largest shareholder is SBI Holdings, which is also a long-term partner of Ripple, the issuer of XRP. Gumi believes that XRP is a "network asset based on real financial demand," and this purchase is a strategic move to expand into the financial sector.
