According to Jinshi reports, during the French authorities' investigation of the messaging platform Telegram, the travel ban on the company's CEO Pavel Durov has been completely lifted.
Law enforcement has been investigating whether Durov conspired to allow criminal activities to occur on the app. Initially, he was ordered to stay in France, but in June, Durov won a relaxation of the restrictions, allowing him limited travel to Dubai. A year ago in August, French authorities arrested him at Paris airport as he disembarked from a private jet, a move that made global headlines. He was detained for four days of questioning and was charged with conspiring to allow criminal activities to occur on the app. He has consistently denied these allegations. At that time, he was required to pay a bail of 5 million euros (5.8 million dollars), was prohibited from leaving France, and was ordered to report twice a week.
