AC questions the funding flow of the Ethereum Foundation, stating that it did not receive any support during the development of Ethereum

ChainCatcher news, Sonic co-founder Andre Cronje (AC) forwarded an article questioning the Ethereum Foundation by Polygon founder and CEO Sandeep Nailwal on X, stating: "I really don't understand. Who exactly is the Ethereum Foundation (EF) funding/supporting? When I was developing on Ethereum, just the deployment and infrastructure burned over 700 ETH. I tried to contact EF but never received a reply, no business connections, no funding, zero support, not even a retweet. Since the Ethereum Foundation is neither supporting core developers (like Péter Szilágyi and the Geth team) nor the strongest Layer 2 supporters (like Sandeep and Polygon), where are these resources actually going?"

Previously, Ethereum core developer and Geth client main maintainer Péter Szilágyi publicly criticized the internal compensation system and governance structure of the Ethereum Foundation (EF), expressing that he is "deeply disappointed" with EF. Today, Sandeep Nailwal forwarded the related update and expressed similar doubts.
