Bloomberg: Mining machine manufacturer Bitdeer strategically shifts to self-mining

ChainCatcher news, according to Bloomberg, Bitcoin mining machine manufacturer Bitdeer Technologies Group is undergoing a strategic transformation, significantly expanding its mining operations amid slowing buyer demand. According to the latest announcement, this Nasdaq-listed company, founded by cryptocurrency veteran Jihan Wu, has quadrupled its self-operated mining capacity in August 2025 compared to the same period last year.

Bitdeer plans to continue its expansion, aiming to rank among the top five cryptocurrency miners globally, which means the company will be in direct competition with its own customers.
