Aptos Labs: The consensus upgrade Velociraptr can reduce block time by 40%

ChainCatcher news, Aptos Labs announced that the latest consensus upgrade Velociraptr (AIP 131) introduces a new block proposal mechanism that can reduce block time by up to 40%, with the current Aptos block time being approximately 100 milliseconds.

The initial deployment of Velociraptr in the Aptos validator network is expected to begin in September, with full deployment anticipated to be completed in October.
