Sentient leads VC: The most valued aspect is the quality of the Sentient team, which is very sharp in their respective technical fields.

ChainCatcher news, partners from Sentient's leading VC Founders Fund, Pantera Capital, and Framework Ventures discussed why they led the investment in the open-source AI platform Sentient in an interview.

Founders Fund partner Joey Krug stated that the most important aspect of Sentient actually comes down to the quality of the team. "I've known Sandeep and Pramod for many years, and they are very sharp in their respective technical fields."

Paul Veradittakit, managing partner at Pantera Capital, mentioned that if AI development remains closed-source, many critical aspects of society will be susceptible to the concentrated effects of censorship and rent-seeking. Sentient's Open, Monetizable, and Loyal (OML) AI model "has tremendous potential to disrupt the AI development industry."

Brandon Potts, partner at Framework Ventures, noted that Sentient's open and monetizable AI model "will empower the open-source community," and the Sentient team is the "most capable" of addressing the economic issues of open-source AI.

Previously on July 2, the open-source AI platform Sentient completed a $85 million seed round financing, led by Founders Fund and others.
