PNC partners with Coinbase to launch Bitcoin trading services for high-net-worth clients

According to Bloomberg, high-net-worth clients of PNC Financial Services Group Inc. can now trade Bitcoin directly through their investment accounts, achieving the initial goal set by the Pittsburgh-based bank when it announced its partnership with Coinbase Global Inc.

This move is the latest example of traditional financial institutions offering digital asset trading services on their own platforms—an area still primarily handled by cryptocurrency exchanges like Coinbase. Brett Tejpaul, co-CEO of Coinbase's institutional business, stated that through the partnership with PNC, Coinbase provides brokerage services and technology integration, enabling clients to trade Bitcoin in any amount.
