ChainCatcher news, former Galaxy Digital research vice president Christine Kim posted on X platform, pointing out that the Ethereum developers' conference call ACDC #165 made an important decision. The developers confirmed the timeline for the public testnet and the timeline for the BPO hard fork of Fusaka. The Fusaka mainnet upgrade is scheduled for December 3 of this year at Epoch 411392.
It is reported that the Fusaka upgrade is the next major hard fork following the Pectra upgrade in May 2025, focusing on the network's scalability, efficiency, and resilience. It is a core part of Ethereum's "Surge" phase, aimed at reducing Layer 2 (L2) rollup costs and improving overall throughput by optimizing data availability and validator responsibilities. According to some preliminary analyses of Fusaka Devnet-5, the blob capacity should more than double within two weeks after the launch of Fusaka.
