ChainCatcher news, according to The Block, the Ethereum Foundation's "Privacy and Scaling Explorations" team has been renamed to "Privacy Stewards of Ethereum" (PSE) and released a roadmap on September 12, focusing on three key areas:
- Privacy Writing: Making the cost and convenience of private on-chain operations comparable to public operations.
- Privacy Reading: Enabling information retrieval from the blockchain without revealing identity or intent.
- Privacy Proofs: Accelerating the speed of proof generation and verification to make it more private and accessible.
The team plans to continue developing the experimental L2 design PlasmaFold to support privacy transfer features and hopes to showcase this functionality for the first time at the Devconnect conference on November 17. Additionally, a report titled "2025 State of Private Voting" will be released, summarizing work in the area of private voting.
The team is working in the field of privacy DeFi, potentially designing protocols that ensure both privacy and compliance for institutional clients, and continuing to develop privacy computing projects. For privacy reading, the team is developing privacy-protecting RPC (Remote Procedure Call) services.
