Vy leads regulatory and policy efforts at Bain Capital Crypto, where she advises the portfolio on crypto regulatory issues and advocates for sensible digital assets policy in the US and abroad. Vy has over a decade of experience as a financial regulatory and enforcement lawyer, advising companies in both the traditional finance and crypto industries. At the SEC, Vy served as Senior Counsel in the Division of Enforcement, where she worked on some of the agency’s first investigations involving digital assets, and as Chief Counsel of the Office of Legislative and Intergovernmental Affairs, where she engaged with Congress, the Treasury Department, and other federal and state entities on capital markets policy, including the regulation of digital assets. More recently, Vy oversaw financial regulatory strategy as Deputy General Counsel and Compliance Officer at Worldcoin. She began her legal career at the law firm WilmerHale, where she counseled clients on everything from the securities laws to AML compliance.

Wei Dai focuses on zero-knowledge cryptography and protocol design. Prior to his work as a research partner at 1kx, W. Dai worked as a research partner at Bain Capital Crypto. He also held research positions at NTT Research, the University of Washington, and Visa Research, where he contributed to cutting-edge research in the field of blockchain technology. W. Dai obtained his Ph.D. from UC San Diego and holds B.S. degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics from the College of Creative Studies at UCSB, as well as a Masters's from UCSB.

Alex Evans

Drawn to problems that bridge theoretical ideas to practical implementation, he has published research on financial protocols, privacy, and consensus.

Guillermo is a Stanford lifer (BS, MS, and PhD in Electrical Engineering). He spends most of his work time in a dark corner of a room, figuring out random math problems for fun. He also loves to work with teams to model many of the weird (and fascinating) incentives in DeFi and beyond. Outside of work, Guillermo likes to cook pizza, hike, and have long, silly conversations with friends over wine.

Imge Su Cetin is the Founder and CEO of Defy Trends. She is a Data Scientist who has worked on forecasting global migration patterns using online search data and social media data for the IOM- Global Migration Data Analytics Center in Berlin. She attended graduate school at the University of California, San Diego, specializing in applied data science and statistical analysis. She is proficient in statistical and analytical tools and software.

Lenny Rachitsky

Lenny Rachitsky is a self-employed investor, author, and podcast host. He has over 4 years of experience in the San Francisco Bay Area. He was previously a product lead at Airbnb, where he was responsible for driving consumer supply growth. He also held the role of co-founder and CEO of Localmind, an early location based consumer app, which was acquired by Airbnb in 2012. Earlier, he was the Head of R&D at Webmetrics and the Senior Manager of Engineering at Neustar, Inc.

Chris Hofmann

Chris spent the past 7 years at Brown University’s Investment Office investing across public and private asset classes. He first became interested in crypto in 2017 and specializes in the Cosmos ecosystem. When not working, Chris can be found playing squash or slowly acquiring NFTs.

Nabi Ozberkman

Nabi Ozberkman is the Chief Technology Officer at portals.fi. He is a Full-Stack Developer and graduated from the University of California, San Diego.

Sean Moss-Pultz

Sean Moss-Pultz is the co-founder and CEO of Bitmark Inc. He was a senior executive for EMQ Limited, a financial technology startup. Recognized as a pioneer of open-source hardware, Moss-Pultz launched and was CEO of Openmoko Inc., the first open-source phone and a precursor to iPhone and Android smartphones. He holds bachelor's degrees in mathematics and physics from UC San Diego.
