Keli Callaghan is Partner at Arrington Capital and former Head of Marketing at Algorand. She joins Algorand from Avid, where she was responsible for global customer engagement strategies, field marketing teams and programs, annual customer conferences, ensuring the needs of the customer were represented in product releases and roadmaps, and the collaborative marketing partnership with Microsoft. She was responsible for launching the customer community program that grew membership to tens of thousands of media professionals to become a respected voice in the industry. Prior to Avid, Keli worked with several global technology enterprises and startups that included Sprint, Zmags, and Rez1. Her roles have included the management of channel sales & marketing, developing marketing strategies and tactical execution plans to drive business awareness and growth, building go-to-market positioning and strategy, and leading cross functional teams. Keli holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Marketing Communications and Business Ethics from Fairfield University and a Masters of Business Administration from Boston College.

Jing Chen is the Chief Scientist at Algorand and former Assistant Professor in the Computer Science Department at Stony Brook University. Her main research interests are distributed ledgers, game theory, and algorithms. Jing received her Bachelor and Master degrees in Computer Science from Tsinghua University, and her PhD in Computer Science from MIT. She did a one-year postdoc at the Institute for Advanced Study, Princeton. Jing received the NSF CAREER Award in 2016.

Yossi Gilad

Yossi Gilad is a senior lecturer at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and former Algorand chief technology officer and director of systems research. Prior to Algorand, Yossi Gilad was a postdoctoral researcher at MIT and Boston University. Before MIT/BU, he was a research staff member at IBM and also a postdoc researcher at the Hebrew University, Israel. Even before that he held research and engineering positions at Google, Marvell’s switching division, and Israel Defense Forces. Yossi Gilad completed his PhD at Bar Ilan University, Israel. He is a recipient of the IETF/IRTF Applied Networking Research Prize (2017), the IBM Research Inventor Recognition Award (2015), and the Check Point Institute for Information Security Prize (2013-2014).

Zhenfei Zhang

Zhenfei Zhang is an engineer at Scroll and a researcher at Ethereum Foundation. He was previously the co-founder and chief technology officer of Manta Network. He has extensive experience in the field of cryptography and has published more than 30 peer-reviewed papers on cryptography.

Bhavik Patel

Bhavik Patel is the Chief Investment Officer at Arrington Capital, and the former Chief Product Officer of BitMEX. His previous experience includes being a Derivatives Strategist for UBS Asia Pacific, where he was the APAC point of contact for content-driven conversations with various clients, such as volatility funds, long-short investors, and tail funds. Before UBS HK, Bhavik held various trading and risk management positions at several European investment banks in London. He holds an MA in Mathematics from Oxford University.

Sergey Gorbunov

Sergey is an Assistant Professor at the University of Waterloo since 2016. He is interested in constructing cryptographic primitives, protocols, and systems that enable novel applications in untrusted and distributed settings. He obtained his Ph.D. from MIT, where he was a Microsoft Ph.D. fellow, and he earned his MSc and BSc from UToronto. His Ph.D. dissertation focused on creating cryptographic tools for the cloud using lattice-based cryptography, for which he was awarded the Sprowls Doctoral Thesis Award for the best thesis in CS at MIT. He was part of the founding team of Algorand, where he was involved in various business and technical aspects of the company, and he headed the cryptography group. Additionally, he spent some time at IBM T.J. Watson Research Centre.

Fangfang Chen

Fangfang Chen is Head of Asia Pacific at Bank of New York Mellon and former Head of Operations, Algorand Foundation. Fangfang holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Yale University and a Bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of International Business & Economics in Beijing.

Silvio Micali

Silvio Micali received his Laurea in Mathematics from the University of Rome and his PhD in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley. Since 1983, he has been a faculty member of the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department at MIT. His research interests include cryptography, zero knowledge, pseudo-random generation, Byzantine agreement, secure protocols, mechanism design, and distributed ledgers. Silvio has been awarded the Turing Award (in computer science), the G?del Prize (in theoretical computer science), and the RSA Prize (in cryptography). He is a member of the National Academy of Sciences, the National Academy of Engineering, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and the Academia dei Lincei. He is also the founder of Algorand LLC, a new foundational blockchain developed from scratch on totally new principles which simultaneously guarantees true decentralization, scalability, and security.
