0xMaki, the pseudonymous or semi-anonymous co-creator of the SushiSwap (SUSHI) decentralized exchange and automated market maker, has relinquished his leadership position at the project to function as an advisor. He previously helped steward the community, and was credited with steering it through the upset that occurred when the NomiChef, the founder, was accused of taking $13M from the project's development fund. Subsequently, he took over the key leadership role in the DAO's staff. In April, he spoke about the importance of growing the whole DeFi community.

He began his career directly in the cryptocurrency industry, and has created solutions for various areas, including cryptocurrency exchanges, custodians, and web3 native applications. He oversaw the development of the custody product at Hex Trust, a licensed Hong Kong digital asset custodian, and helped to build the exchange/internal custody product at Crypto.com. He was also a participant of the Hong Kong Science and Technology Park incubation program, where he developed a platform for sharing community goods to reduce food waste. Before founding Candy Shop, he headed a team that built an NFT fractionalization product, which won first place in the Serum and Wormhole hackathon.

Galia Benartzi is a serial technology entrepreneur and co-founder of the Bancor Protocol, a standard for the creation of Smart Tokens™, cryptocurrencies with built-in convertibility directly through their smart contracts. Smart Tokens™ interconnect to form automated token liquidity networks, allowing user-generated currencies to thrive. Galia has a Bachelor's degree in Comparative Literature from Dartmouth College and a Master's degree in International Economics from SAIS Johns Hopkins. In 2005, she co-founded Mytopia, the first social gaming company for smartphones (acquired by 888), and in 2010, Particle Code, a cross-platform development technology for mobile applications (acquired by Appcelerator). In 2013, Galia moved from Silicon Valley to Tel Aviv to support and invest in Israeli technology as a Venture Partner at Founders Fund, where she also launched numerous local currency pilots to model, build, and test software for community currencies. Galia is a founding member of Powder Mountain, the permanent home of the Summit community in Eden, Utah, and creator of the Eden2Zion Reality trips by the Schusterman Foundation. She is passionate about decentralized technologies, women's empowerment, consciousness, natural wellness and plants.
