Its digital platform automates the manual processes of alternative investment subscriptions, investor management, and secondary transfers. In November 2019, Harbor received a transfer agent license from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), becoming the first blockchain company to have both a broker-dealer license and a transfer agent license.
