Samantha oversees DCG's post-investment engine. Her team is responsible for tracking the performance of DCG's more than 200 startup and token project investments, offering strategic and operational advice to those companies and their executives, and forging partnerships on DCG's network behalf. Samantha began her career at Orbis Investments, the global asset manager, where she conducted fund analysis, focusing on emerging market equities, and eventually led global growth initiatives around the launch of a first-of-its-kind retail investment platform. Before joining DCG, Samantha ran business development efforts at Elder, the London-based health tech company, overseeing public sector procurement and private sector partnerships. Samantha graduated from Georgetown University (BA) and London School of Economics (Masters).

Barry Silbert is the Founder and CEO of Digital Currency Group (DCG). He is at the epicenter of the bitcoin and blockchain industry, and DCG is a global enterprise that builds, supports, and invests in companies worldwide. As an early and active investor in the industry, Barry established himself in 2012. He founded DCG in 2015 and the company is now one of the industry's most prolific investors, backing hundreds of companies globally. In addition to its investment portfolio, DCG owns Grayscale Investments, Genesis, CoinDesk, Foundry, Luno, TradeBlock, and HQ. DCG also invests directly in digital currencies and other digital assets. Before DCG, Barry was the Founder and CEO of SecondMarket, a venture-backed technology company that was acquired by Nasdaq. He has been recognized with several awards and honors, such as Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young and Crain's, and being selected to Fortune's "40 under 40" list. Before becoming an entrepreneur, Barry worked as an investment banker in New York. He graduated with honors from the Goizueta Business School of Emory University.

Mark Murphy

As President of DCG, Mark works closely with the company's six wholly-owned subsidiaries on strategy, execution, and all management matters. He leads DCG's legal, communications, marketing, brand, and public policy efforts, and supports the CEO on day-to-day management. Mark also advises DCG's 175+ portfolio companies on public relations, brand, and marketing efforts. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Blockchain Association, the industry's leading trade association.

Casey Taylor

As Vice President of Development, Casey is the primary point of contact for post-investment support and strategic partnerships across Digital Currency Group's expansive network of over 150 portfolio companies, subsidiaries, and hundreds of co-investors and corporate contacts. She has developed a pattern recognition and robust set of resources for the common challenges that early-stage teams face while scaling, and brings a design mindset to strategy and innovation work within the organization. Casey has also contributed to the launch of businesses, national ad campaigns, and training programs as a member of the holding company leadership team. Prior to joining Digital Currency Group, Casey served as the Director of Community at Female Founders Fund, an early-stage venture firm that invests in promising, women-led companies, and was the first-ever community manager for NY Tech Alliance - a 50,000 member trade organization that produced the world's largest Meetup group, NY Tech Meetup.
