David Schwartz is the Chief Technology Officer at Ripple and one of the original architects of the XRP Ledger. Prior to joining Ripple, he was the Chief Technical Officer for WebMaster Incorporated, a Santa Clara software developer. He developed encrypted cloud storage and enterprise messaging systems for organizations such as CNN and the National Security Agency (NSA). He is widely known as "JoelKatz" and is a respected voice in the digital currency community.

Brad Garlinghouse is the CEO of Ripple and a member of its Board of Directors. Prior to Ripple, he served as the CEO of the file collaboration service Hightail. Liz Chien

Liz Chien previously served as Global Head of Tax at Protocol Labs and Vice President of Global Tax at Ripple. Liz is the former Asia-Pacific Head of Tax for Google and was a Tax Director at Softbank Group International. Prior to Google, she was an attorney with the global law firm of Baker & McKenzie LLP in Palo Alto, California, where she advised technology companies on international tax planning and structuring. Liz received her Bachelors and Masters degrees from Stanford University and her Juris Doctor from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.

Carl Hua is the CTO and Investment Partner of Shima Capital. He previously served as Chief Architect at Celsius Network and General Manager of CelsiusX, the DeFi division of Celsius. Before that, Carl led the research and development efforts at RippleX, Ripple's open-source/developers platform business unit. He also co-managed the C++ (XRP Ledger) team during his time at Ripple. Before Ripple, Carl was the CTO for Logos Network - a first-layer, high-performance blockchain company, which was later acquired by Ripple. Earlier in his career, he contributed to the next-generation real-time flight software for the Europa mission at JPL NASA. He has also led engineering teams developing flight software at Northrop Grumman.
